June 18, 2019 – Saudi Aramco and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. inaugurated the first hydrogen refueling station in the Kingdom at the Dharan Techno Valley Science Park. The station will fuel an initial fleet of six Toyota Mirai fuel cell electric vehicles with high purity compressed hydrogen. These vehicles are expected to have a driving range of 310 miles with water as its only emission and the capacity to be refueled within five minutes in contrast to traditional battery electric vehicles which take an hour to recharge.
