Honeywell UOP signed a deal with Farabi Petrochemicals Company to support biodegradable detergent production in Yanbu. Honeywell will supply catalysts, adsorbents, licensing, engineering design, and more. The complex is expected to be completed by 2020 and produce 120,000 metric tonnes of linear alkylbenzene and 246,000 metric tonnes of paraffins. To fuel the facility, the plant will use diesel from Saudi Aramco and kerosene from the Saudi Aramco ExxonMobil refinery.
