June 26, 2019 – AECOM has been appointed by NEOM to serve as project managers for NEOM Bay, the first urban area to be developed in the economic zone. The consultancy firm will provide its vision for the development of NEOM and consult on the development of the zone’s infrastructure. Construction is expected to begin this year, with the project slated to be completed over the course of multiple phases. The $500 billion NEOM economic zone is part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 reform plan aimed at attracting foreign investments and diversifying the economy.
