The Saudi Ministry of Defense has welcomed a $1 billion housing and medical project, with H.R.H. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inaugurating eight housing projects and a new medical treatment initiative for employees of the Ministry, according to the state news agency. The recently completed medical and housing developments, totaling more than $1 billion (SAR4 billion), provide nearly 3,800 housing units across six new developments, a new 130-bed heart center at the national Armed Forces Hospital, and a massive expansion at the Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital which includes 100 new beds, 10 new intensive care units, modern operating rooms, a blood bank, and emergency, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy departments. Dr. Khaled bin Hussein Al-Biyari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, stated that the completion of the medical and housing projects advances strategic objectives under Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Defense’s ongoing modernization and development program.
