On January 15, 2024, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council (USSBC) welcomed Andrew Billard, the new Counselor for Commercial Affairs for the U.S. Commercial Service, Riyadh, in an exclusive member-only roundtable. The event provided members of the Business Council with a unique opportunity to connect with Mr. Billard and hear about his office’s priorities in the Kingdom.
Attendees had the chance to participate in a dynamic open discussion, providing USSBC members with a platform to express concerns and pose questions to Mr. Billard as well as forge connections with fellow Council members.
Prior to taking his position in Riyadh, Mr. Billard served in a broad range of countries including Shanghai and Beijing, China, Jakarta, Indonesia, and Johannesburg, South Africa. Before South Africa, Mr. Billard served the Caribbean Region from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, managing services across six U.S. Embassies in the Bahamas, Jamaica, HaiI, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Dominican Republic.
