Sadara Chemical Company’s propylene glycol plant began production, marking another key step towards the completion of the company’s petrochemicals complex. Sadara began production at its mixed-feed cracker in 2016. The complex includes 26 total plants in Jubail II Industrial City, with 22 now operational. Propylene glycol is used for cosmetics and fragrances, food and flavorings, and paints and coatings. Derivatives of the propylene glycol can also be used for making mono, di, and tri propylene glycol.
