April 2, 2019 – McDermott Arabia Company, Ltd, a subsidiary of McDermott International, Inc. has signed a lease agreement with Saudi Aramco to establish a fabrication facility in the Ras Al-Khair-based King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries. The facility will be used for large scale fabrication of offshore platforms and onshore/offshore modules and will utilize cutting edge technologies to ensure world class standards in safety, quality and efficiency. The facility will further cover an area of approximately 1,150,000 m2 and have a throughput capacity in excess of 60,000 metric tons per year during peak production. It is expected to be operational by 2022.
