Majid Al Futtaim awarded a four-year contract to the global infrastructure consulting firm, AECOM, with the project set to start in the fourth economic quarter of 2021. AECOM will deliver lead design consultancy for pre-contract and post-contract construction supervision. The Mall of Saudi will be located at the intersection of Al-Thumama Road and Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Road in Al-Najris neighborhood, north of Riyadh. With a total area of more than 866,000 sqm, it will house over 600 stores across 300,000 sqm gross leasable area (GLA). The mall will include the Middle East’s largest ski slope and snow park, luxury hotels, and branded residences covering approximately 2,000 keys and spanning 214,000 square meters of built-up area, as well as a Carrefour hypermarket and 31 VOX Cinema screens. The project will create 70,000 direct and indirect jobs during its construction, and 16,000 direct jobs during operations of the multi-phase development.
