SAMI L3Harris Technologies, a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and L3 Harris Technologies, has announced the commencement of its operations on February 10th, 2021. The joint venture was created in 2020 with the goal of accelerating SAMI’s growth through developing advanced communication, sensors, and integrated mission systems capabilities in support of Saudi Arabia’s armed security forces. The Kingdom’s objective is to strengthen its military capabilities and enable self-sufficiency. This venture will accelerate localization initiatives through specialized maintenance and operator training on “Transfer of Production” and “Transfer of Technology” through research and development.
