Global technology company Honeywell International, a Platinum-level member of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council, has been awarded a contract to install integrated building management systems across all Mouwasat Medical Services (MMS) hospitals. The new systems will help MMS optimize its energy usage and maintenance requirements across all six of its hospitals in Saudi Arabia. Under the new contract, MMS will implement two of Honeywell’s Forge solutions: Forge Energy Optimization, which autonomously optimizes building HVAC systems by evaluating data on occupancy, weather, time of day, and other factors and can improve energy savings by double digit percentages; and Forge Digitalized Maintenance, which serves to schedule proactive building maintenance through a network of sensors and integrated systems that analyze building performance and mechanical systems with real-time insights. George Bou Mitri, Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell Building Technologies for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, welcomed the new contract and reaffirmed the company’s “commitment to furthering the government’s vision for the healthcare sector,” adding that they are proud to continue their “long-term relationship with MMS to deploy fully integrated solutions to further its strategic goals for enhance patient experience and energy saving optimization in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.”
