The Ministry of Health (MoH) in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), launched the Expression Of Interest (EOI) phase for the clinical and non-clinical operations and maintenance for SABIC Behavioral Care Specialist Hospital which is under the catchment area of the Second Health Cluster (R2). The hospital’s building and part of the medical and non-medical equipment are provided through the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) social responsibility program, the exclusive supporting partner. Construction of the hospital is expected to be completed in 2022.
MoH is seeking a specialized private-sector operator, based on a PPP model, to operate clinical and non-clinical operations in addition to maintain the hospital in line with the national mental Healthcare model in the Kingdom, along with providing some of the medical and non-medical equipment. The hospital is being built on an area of 62,500 square meters, and will provide healthcare services to adults and adolescents from both genders in the field of mental health and substance addiction treatment.
