September 19, 2019 – The U.S. Navy has awarded the Boeing Company with a $11.4 million contract to complete Phase 1 design maturity, analysis, and test planning for production of the Standoff Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) defense system for the Kingdom. Work on the SLAM-ER is expected to be completed by October 2019.
