SAIC Wins $49.5 Million U.S. Navy Contract for Royal Saudi Naval Forces Upgrades and Refurbishment

The U.S. Navy has awarded USSBC member Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) a $49.5 million contract to continue its support services to the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) upgrade and refurbishment services. The contract, a single-award task order and part of the SeaPort-NxG contract, will take place in Saudi Arabia and has a five-year base period of performance. SAIC was chosen for its expertise in engineering, design and integration, integrated product support, and capability modernization, according to SAIC executive vice president Jim Scanlon. SAIC’s work will support critical networks, which fulfil the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command’s requirement for RSNF support services within Saudi Arabia and continue SAIC’s long history of engagement in the country. Engineers from SAIC currently support RSNF operations at three command centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Jubail and a System Engineering Support Center in Riyadh, and the company has worked in Saudi Arabia with the RSNF since 1980.
