In December 2025, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council supported
a delegation visit to Riyadh organized by Meridian International Center as part
of its corporate mission to Saudi Arabia. The program brought together senior
U.S. business leaders and Saudi government and private sector counterparts to
advance dialogue on bilateral economic cooperation.
The Council facilitated a series of ministerial meetings for
the delegation and actively participated in the engagements, working closely
with Meridian leadership, including Deborah Lehr, President and CEO, and Jim
Golsen, Vice President. Discussions focused on priorities related to
investment, competitiveness, and the broader U.S.-Saudi business environment,
with engagement from H.E. Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, Assistant Minister of Investment
at the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), and H.E. Dr. Eiman
Al-Mutairi, CEO of the National Competitiveness Center.
A key highlight of the mission was a reception hosted by the
U.S. Embassy in Riyadh by Chargé d’Affaires Andrew Billard, which convened U.S.
and Saudi government officials, business leaders, and members of the Meridian
delegation. The reception provided an opportunity to reinforce commercial ties
and continue dialogue in support of strengthened U.S.-Saudi economic
engagement.

In addition to its support for the Meridian mission, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council participated in several other engagements in Riyadh during the same week. These included participation in events hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia, including its annual gala, which provided an opportunity to engage with members of the U.S. business community active in the Kingdom.
The Council also took part in the inaugural Development Finance Conference “MOMENTUM,” organized by the National Development Fund, which convened local and international leaders to discuss development finance, investment, and priority economic sectors. These engagements during the last month of 2025 served as a fitting end to a productive year of U.S.-Saudi collaboration and mark an optimistic beginning to the year ahead.
