USSABC Names Jacobs’ CEO Steven Demetriou Co-Chairman

The U.S.‐Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) is pleased to announce the selection of Jacobs Chairman and CEO Steve Demetriou to serve as U.S. Co‐Chairman of the business council, effective February 13, 2018, succeeding Former Chevron Vice Chairman Peter Robertson. Jacobs is the global technical and professional services leader providing innovative solutions for iconic infrastructure, advanced industries, and a more connected, sustainable world.

Demetriou brings 30 years of global business leadership experience, including his current role at Jacobs, held since July 2016. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of Aleris Corporation, and also held leadership positions with Noveon, IMC Global and Exxon Mobil Corporation, where he started his career. Demetriou is a graduate of Tufts University where he studied chemical engineering.

Peter Robertson served as the Business Council’s U.S. Co-Chairman since 2008, and has been instrumental in steering the successful development of the USSABC over the past 10 years. The Saudi Arabian Co-Chairman is Mr. Abdallah Jum’ah, Chairman of The Saudi Investment Bank, and former CEO of Saudi Aramco.
