NEOM, a member of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council, has officially announced the opening of Sindalah, an island resort on the Red Sea designed to be an international destination for natural beauty, vacation tourism, and cutting-edge infrastructure within Saudi Arabia’s expanding tourism landscape.
Located on Saudi Arabia’s northwest coastline, Sindalah spans 840,000 square meters and offers a marina with 86 berths capable of accommodating vessels up to 75 meters, along with offshore facilities for larger ships and sailing vessels. The resort will include several luxury hotels, high-end residences, and a range of dining options. Expected to host up to 2,400 visitors daily upon full completion, the development is designed to attract both international tourists and regional yachting traffic, with its infrastructure tailored to support marine tourism.
Sindalah’s opening represents a notable milestone in the development of Saudi Arabia’s tourism and construction industries, not only because it is the first of NEOM’s projects to be completed, but also as a signal for the start of increased demand in these sectors and Saudi Arabia’s movement towards becoming a more prominent player in the global travel market.
