USSABC, RCJY Discuss Saudi Business Opportunities at Cleveland Executive Roundtable
The U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) hosted an executive roundtable in Cleveland, Ohio on October 11, 2017. The RCJY delegation was led by H.E. Dr. Alaa Nassif, CEO of the Yanbu and Jazan Industrial Cities. He was joined by Eng. Abdulrahman Shamashir, Director of the Industrial Cluster Department at Yanbu, and Eng. Saleh Alzahrani, Industrial Cluster Support Analyst. The roundtable was moderated by Edward Burton, USSABC President and CEO.
Eng. Shamashir delivered a presentation on opportunities within the RCJY cities, highlighting areas for collaboration with U.S. businesses, growing industries, and support that Saudi Arabia can provide for American companies, such as tax incentives and cheap access to feedstock. Following the presentation, the 19 company representatives gave brief introductions before a Q&A session with H.E. Dr. Nassif. Topics such as market entry, regulations, infrastructure, feedstock availability, and more were covered during the session.
H.E. Dr. Nassif privately met with 14 of the attending companies following the event. The one-on-one meetings served as an opportunity for participants to privately discuss specific goals and questions pertaining to their companies in Saudi Arabia.
