June 06, 2018 – Mayer Brown and Saudi Arabian firm Al-Yaqoub Attorneys & Legal Advisors have signed a cooperation agreement, easing Mayer Brown’s ability to serve the needs of its global clients. Although the Mayer Brown and Al-Yaqoub Attorneys & Legal Advisors will remain separate, the two firms will carry out joint legal work with an emphasis on large projects, privatization, and partnerships. Saudi laws require international law firms to operate alongside a local partner within the Kingdom.
