Lifestyle Corner: Abha & Beyond – Where the Clouds Meet the Mountains

For those in need of a weekend getaway from the hot summer and desert climate throughout most of Saudi Arabia, look no further than Abha, in the Asir region in the country’s southwest. Known as the “city in the sky,” Abha sits at 2,270 meters above sea level, offering cool weather year-round and a perfect mix of family fun, nature, and history, plus some surprising adventures beyond the mountains.

Cowboy Town

Step into the Wild West at this themed park with saloons, staged gunfights, pony rides, a “ghost town,” kids’ playgrounds, and rodeo-style shows.

When: daily until July 31, 4:00 PM–10:30 PM.
