Former Minister of Finance H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf has been appointed as Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing H.E. Adel Al-Jubeir who will now take on the role of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The announcement was made by H.M. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on December 27th, 2018 and included other major cabinet reshuffles. H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf served as the Kingdom’s Minister of Finance from 1996-2016 and is currently a member of Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors.
