March 31, 2019 – California-based Energy Recovery has been awarded $8.8 million in contracts to supply pressure exchange devices to desalination facilities across Saudi Arabia. Scheduled to be shipped in Q2 of 2019, the company’s “PX Q300” device will reduce power consumption for all projects by 54.3MW, thereby saving more than 469GWh of energy annually. The facilities will also generate up to 380,000m3 of water per day. Energy Recovery had previously won multiple contracts to supply the PX Q300 to clients in Oman and the UAE.
