B20 Saudi Arabia, the private sector’s voice of the G20 community, is organizing the virtual event “Preparing for the Second Wave” of COVID-19 on July 16, 2020 at 4:00 pm KSA / 9:00 am EDT.
As a member of the Trade and Investment Taskforce of B20 Saudi Arabia, we are pleased to facilitate the opportunity for you to participate. In brief, the event will bring together members of the B20 Taskforces and Action Council, representatives of the B20 leadership, business and government leaders, health experts, as well as international organizations and civil society.
The agenda will include fireside chats and panel discussions on the following topics:
- The B20 COVID-19 Report – A conversation with the B20 Chair
- The healthcare perspective – What steps should be taken to prepare for a second wave?
- The macroeconomic picture – What could be the global economic impact of a second wave and what must governments do to mitigate the risk?
- The business imperative – What practical steps should businesses take now to minimize the impact of a second wave?
This event follows the launch of the B20 initiative to address COVID-19 by B20 Saudi Arabia in March 2020 and subsequent dialogues with leaders in business and public health on this topic. Moreover, B20 Saudi Arabia has recently released a B20 Special Report to the G20 entitled “Jump-Starting the Global Economy in a Post COVID-19 Phase” available here.
