On September 10, 2026, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council supported the Public Investment Fund (PIF) New York Business Forum, hosted by the PIF and Lazard at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The event brought together senior U.S. business leaders, investors, and executives from the PIF and its portfolio companies to explore investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and strengthen commercial partnerships between U.S. companies and the Kingdom. Working closely with the PIF, the Council played a central role in recruiting participants and securing attendance from U.S. companies and business leaders across its extensive network.
The program featured Jerry Todd, Head of the PIF’s National Development Division, and Peter R. Orszag, Chairman and CEO of Lazard, alongside senior executives from PIF portfolio companies. Discussions provided an overview of the PIF’s investment strategy, sectoral priorities, and role in developing new industries and integrated value chains under Saudi Vision 2030. Participants also learned about opportunities for international companies to contribute to major projects and emerging industries across the Kingdom.
Representatives from 20 PIF portfolio companies participated in the forum, presenting business and investment opportunities across real estate, tourism, entertainment, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, transportation, logistics, and renewable energy. U.S. companies participating through the Council’s outreach were also invited by the PIF to private, one-on-one meetings with portfolio company executives, providing opportunities to discuss specific projects, potential partnerships, and market entry.

The Council’s participation reflected its continued collaboration with the PIF and its efforts to connect U.S. companies with investment opportunities and senior decision-makers in Saudi Arabia. Through its extensive outreach and support for business matchmaking, the Council helped facilitate direct engagement between U.S. businesses and PIF portfolio companies across the Kingdom’s main priority sectors.
