U.S.-Saudi Business Council President and CEO Charles Hallab participated as a speaker at the Saudi Media Forum, held in Riyadh from February 2–4, 2026. Mr. Hallab took part in the session titled “Between Political Analysis and Public Diplomacy: The Future of Discourse on the Region,” which examined the role of media, public diplomacy, and strategic communication in shaping international perceptions of the Middle East.
During the discussion, Mr. Hallab addressed the gap between the volume of information available about Saudi Arabia and public understanding in the United States, particularly with respect to the Kingdom’s security, stability, and business environment. He emphasized the importance of accurate, balanced communication and highlighted how persistent media narratives can influence investor sentiment and commercial decision-making. Mr. Hallab underscored the value of platforms such as the Saudi Media Forum in fostering informed dialogue and encouraging higher-quality engagement between regional and international stakeholders.
The Council’s participation in the Forum reflects its broader efforts to engage in conversations at the intersection of media, public diplomacy, and economic relations, recognizing the role that perception and communication play in shaping the environment for U.S.-Saudi business cooperation.
