On June 23-26, 2024, the 10th SelectUSA Investment Summit was held in National Harbor, Maryland, bringing together over 5,000 attendees from 87 international markets and 56 states and territories to take advantage of in-person networking and informative programming on key industry topics. SelectUSA, organized by the Department of Commerce, is the premiere event in the United States for promoting foreign direct investment (FDI), connecting investors, companies, economic development organizations, and industry experts to seize every opportunity available to make deals happen through U.S. investment.
On the sidelines of the event, the U.S. Commercial Service and the Saudi Ministry of Investment (MISA) organized a delegation of Saudi companies led by U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Michael Ratney and Commercial Counselor Andrew Billard. Members of the delegation had a prime opportunity to connect with U.S. government representatives, potential partners from the U.S. private sector, and industry experts from around the world. Over 100+ sessions were available to delegation members, providing key information on everything they need to know for investing and getting established in the United States, including finding a partner, developing a workforce, understanding investment trends, and taking advantage of available incentives.
The U.S.-Saudi Business Council (USSBC) supported the U.S. Commercial Service’s efforts by publicizing the event and extending an invitation to the USSBC’s diverse network of Saudi member companies. For 30 years, the USSBC has worked with U.S. and Saudi companies and stakeholders to facilitate cross-border trade and investment and raise awareness of business opportunities to the benefit of U.S. and Saudi companies across a range of sizes and industries.
