USSABC Holds Executive Reception with Ambassador Westphal and Visiting Delegation in Houston

In May, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) hosted an executive reception in honor of Dr. Joseph W. Westphal, U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and the visiting Saudi delegation to the annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas. The reception offered senior executives from prominent Saudi companies the opportunity to network with U.S. oil and gas companies that are either already involved in the Saudi market or actively pursuing market entry.

The reception was sponsored by Sherbiny Holdings and Saudi Aramco and attended by more than 200 U.S. and Saudi business executives, including USSABC member companies Black & Veatch, Chevron, Jacobs Engineering, SGS North America Government & Institution Services, Wood Mustang Group, Citigroup, and Aquatech, among others. The USSABC was also pleased to welcome H.E. Sultan Al Angari, Saudi Consul General in Houston, Eng. Taha Alshareef, Commercial Attaché, and Dr. Peter Hotez, U.S. Science Envoy to Saudi Arabia.

During the event, Ambassador Westphal spoke about the lasting U.S.-Saudi business relationship and the abundant opportunities available for U.S. companies in the Kingdom.  He underscored the economic stability of the Kingdom and expressed optimism in success of the recently announced Vision 2030.

The Business Council would like to thank Premier Sponsor Sherbiny Holdings and Diamond Sponsor Saudi Aramco for their continued support of USSABC programs and activities.
