Dr. Ricardo Angel

Managing Director, GE Ventures

Dr. Ricardo Angel is a Managing Director at GE Ventures where he leads venture capital investing origination for the business unit and for Energy Technology Ventures, a joint venture formed by GE, NRG Energy, Inc. and ConocoPhillips focused on investing in emerging energy technology companies. GE Ventures seeks investment opportunities across the energy value chain, including renewables, power infrastructure and oil & gas technologies. The venture capital group is one of the most active investors in energy technology markets, with a presence in San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Chicago and Tel Aviv.

Based in San Francisco, Dr. Angel joined GE from ChevronTexaco Technology Ventures’ Venture Capital group, having previously worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and as a consultant at the CNA Corporation.

Dr. Angel holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees in Engineering from the University of Illinois.
