In September 2024, a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between U.S.-Saudi Business Council (USSBC) member Al-Rushaid Group and the Colorado School of Mines. The MoU signing aims to harness sustainable growth, new technology, and Saudi Arabia’s world-class mineral reserves in elevating the mining sector as a main economic pillar of the country’s Vision 2030 development goals.
Al-Rushaid Group is a Saudi company operating internationally in construction, engineering, manufacturing, trading, real estate, and technology, and was represented at the signing by Rasheed Al-Rushaid, Chairman, President, & CEO. The Colorado School of Mines is the U.S.’s premier engineering and appliance science university for mining and geology and was represented at the signing by John Bradford, PhD, Vice President for Global Initiatives.
The signing took place at the exhibitor booth for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resource (MIM) at MINExpo 2024 in Las Vegas, NV in the presence of His Excellency Bandar AlKhorayef, Minister of MIM, and H.E. Khalid AlMudaifer, Vice Minister of MIM, during the Ministry’s visit to the U.S. to meet with executives in mining and industry. To read more about their visit, click here.
