Aramco Inks $11 Billion Jafurah Gas Deal with BlackRock-Led Consortium
Saudi Aramco signed an $11 billion lease-and-leaseback agreement with a consortium led by Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock, for midstream assets tied to its Jafurah gas development. Under the deal, the newly formed Jafurah Midstream Gas Co. will lease development and usage rights for the Jafurah Field Gas Plant and Riyas NGL Fractionation Facility, then lease them back to Aramco for 20 years.
Aramco is a member of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council.

SAMI Inks Deal with U.S. Firm Amentum to Boost Land Defense Systems, Localize Spare Parts
Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) has signed a cooperation deal with U.S.-based Amentum to strengthen the Kingdom’s land defense systems, improve maintenance and overhaul, and localize spare parts. The signing ceremony with the global leader in advanced engineering and technology solutions was attended by leading figures from both firms, including Eng. Mohammed Al-Hodaib, executive vice president of SAMI Land, and Feras Al-Hassoun, Middle East operational sales director at Amentum.

HiTHIUM, a global manufacturer of energy storage solutions, has been awarded a major contract by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to deploy two battery energy storage system projects in northern Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk and Hail provinces. The total capacity of the projects is 4GWh, utilizing HiTHIUM’s long-duration energy storage battery cells in ∞Power 6.25MWh Desert Eagle Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

Humain, Saudi Arabia’s new artificial intelligence company, has begun construction of its first data centers in the Kingdom and plans to bring them online in early 2026 using semiconductors imported from the U.S., Bloomberg News reported.
Saudi Arabia Hosts First Regional Deployment of OpenAI Models through HUMAIN-Groq Partnership
Saudi Arabia has become the first country in the region to host OpenAI’s newly released publicly available models through a deployment announced by HUMAIN and Groq. The gpt-oss-120B and gpt-oss-20B models are operated on Groq’s high-speed inference infrastructure located within HUMAIN’s sovereign data centers in the Kingdom.
Starlink Closes in on Saudia Airlines In-Flight WiFi Contract
Elon Musk’s SpaceX subsidiary is in advanced discussions to secure a contract with Saudi Arabia’s biggest airline. Saudia is currently finalizing a deal to roll out the service across its fleet of more than 140 aircraft, noted sources to Bloomberg.

Riyadh-based MBC Group, the biggest media and entertainment organization in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has unveiled an innovative new partnership with Netflix. Under the accord, customers of MBCNOW – the MBC Group’s recently launched entertainment service aggregator – will have seamless access to the full Netflix service, alongside MBC’s Shahid streaming channels and linear TV channels in one subscription.
