Citigroup, a Chairman’s Circle member of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council and a member of its Board of Directors, hosted its inaugural Saudi Conference on June 23, 2025, at its New York headquarters in association with Saudi Exchange. Council President & CEO Charles Hallab participated in a panel titled “Saudi Growth Ambitions: A Discussion,” where he emphasized the strength of the U.S.-Saudi financial relationship and the growing role of private sector engagement in advancing shared economic goals.
The event convened senior Saudi government officials, corporate leaders, U.S. investors, and financial experts for a series of panel discussions and keynotes focused on Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation and capital markets strategy. Citigroup has long played an active role in the Kingdom’s financial sector, serving as a licensed capital markets participant and advisor to public and private stakeholders.
The conference took place amid renewed momentum in U.S.-Saudi economic cooperation, with 2025 seeing expanded growth in bilateral trade, investment, and strategic engagement across sectors including advanced technology, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. The conference, with the Council’s participation, serves to deepen engagements between U.S. companies and Saudi institutions, supporting long-term private sector collaboration under the framework of Vision 2030.
