On May 1, 2018, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council, “the Council,” hosted an executive reception in honor of the visiting Saudi delegation at the annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas. The reception offered senior-level executives from U.S. energy firms the opportunity to network with representatives of major Saudi oil, gas, petrochemicals, and infrastructure companies. More than 200 business leaders attended the reception.
The Saudi delegation to OTC was organized by the U.S. Commercial Service and included nearly 75 top ranking representatives from companies such as Council members Front End Limited Company, M. H. Sherbiny for Commerce, Rezayat Co. Ltd., Al-Abdulkarim Holding Co., Abdel Hadi A. Al-Qahtani & Sons, and Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Company Ltd., among others. In addition, the Council was honored to be joined by H.E. Sultan Al Angari, Consul General, at the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Houston.
In addition to hosting the reception, Council staff attended the conference, where they had the opportunity to increase awareness about Saudi Arabia’s expansive energy industry, along with promoting Business Council member companies involved in oil, gas, and petrochemicals. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, OTC remains the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection. The conference brings together more than 70,000 energy professionals representing more than 100 countries.
The Business Council would like to express its gratitude and appreciation to Front End Limited Company and Sherbiny Holdings for their sponsorship of the Council’s reception.
