July 3, 2019 – Saudi Aramco announced the opening of a new research facility at the Dharan Techno Valley in partnership with Baker Hughes GE. The new facility will house several new technologies including an industrial 3D printer for metals, data visualization technology, and automation platforms designed to improve well activity and construction. Saudi Aramco expects to improve its capabilities with regards to project management and software development through these new technologies and hopes to deploy these improved capabilities globally.
