January 30, 2018 – Saudi Arabian plans to build a cutting-edge art institute in Riyadh are underway. The Misk Art Institute will combine exhibition galleries, creative spaces, workshops, makers spaces, and educational programs. Organized by the Misk Foundation which aims to promote innovation, education, and opportunities, the Misk Art Institute will create jobs while enhancing Saudi Arabia’s art culture. The announcement was made by Saudi artist Ahmed Mater who will head the team overseeing the institute.
