Saudi Arabia has announced plans to host LEAP 2021, a landmark technology event to support Vision 2030’s goals to transform the country into a diversified, knowledge-based economy. Powered by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the conference will hold 14 focused exhibition areas demonstrating innovations fields such as artificial intelligence/machine learning, blockchain, robotics, 3D printing, Internet of Things, biotech/health sciences, smart mobility, unmanned systems, quantum computing, materials sciences, space and satellites, data analytics, and FinTech. The conference will aid the Saudi government’s current efforts to meet key metrics of the Vision 2030 initiative: accelerate the growth of the country’s digital economy by 50%, boost Saudi ICTs’ contribution to GDP by $13 billion over five years, train the next generation of men and women with the skills needed for the 21st century economy, and secure more foreign investment while assisting “Saudization” efforts. LEAP 2021 will take place from February 1-3 next year in Riyadh at Saudi Arabia’s largest convention center and will include tech innovators, potential investors, and startup entrepreneurs from across the globe.
