July 25, 2018 – Aramco-Sabic JV, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sabic, has awarded KBR a front-end engineering and design (FEED) and project management consultancy (PMC) contract for its new Crude Oil to Chemicals (COTC) complex. KBR will be assisting with the downstream petrochemicals and chemicals components within the $25bn COTC complex. The contract includes engineering studies, infrastructure, and planning for polymer and glycol units, and the aromatics complex, the COTC master plot plan, and offsite utilities. When completed in 2025, the COTC complex will be the biggest of its kind in the world.
