IBM reached an agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology to provide advanced technology training programs in the Kingdom. IBM will educate over 38,000 people through 2020, and over 19,000 students are expected to achieve communication and IT certifications. The training will take place in 30 institutions in varying ICT fields. The sector is a priority under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and the deal is part of the Ministry’s larger effort to bolster capabilities and create jobs in the Kingdom.
