The G20 Presidency, along with the United Nations (UN) Secretary General and Co-Chairs of the Group of Friends of Financing the Sustainable Development Goals convened for a virtual event to discuss financial solutions to the health and development impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event enabled discussions about six critical issues: global liquidity and financial stability, debt vulnerability for developing countries, private sector creditors engagement, external finance and remittances for inclusion, illicit financial flows, and sustainable and inclusive recovery. The G20 Presidency was represented by Saudi Minister of Finance, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan, and joined by heads of State and Governments, international organizations, and representatives from non-government organizations and private entities.
