Company Background:
Altaiseer Aluminium Company was established in 1976 as a fabricator to manufacture doors, windows, and kitchen cabinets. The company has continued to diversify and expand to manufacture façade & architectural aluminum works in 1983 and moved to a larger space in the Second Industrial Area of Riyadh. The company further diversified over the years to produce commercial powder coating, polyester powders (later spun off into Gulf Polyester Powder Coating Company), and finally entered the aluminum extrusion market in 1994.
Altaiseer has six extrusion presses from SMS Group Germany and the production capacity of 60,000 mTons per annum. Operations are under the quality management system ISO 9001-2008 and were upgraded to ISO 9001-2015 within the span of six months. Altaiseer’s products are ensured to meet international tolerance like BSI, ASTM, and EN Standards.

United Transformers Electric Company (Utec) manufactures distribution transformers and has grown a strong presence in local and international markets as a leading transformer production company. Utec is a joint venture between Bawan and Australia’s Wilson Transformers, a leading manufacturer of power and distribution transformers since 1933.
Utec, which is based in the Second Industrial City in Riyadh, employs a team of 450 engineers, technicians, and specialists committed to achieving high levels of engineering design and production quality. Utec takes advantage of the technical cooperation agreement with Wilson Transformers in Australia to provide the most advanced industrial technologies. The company focuses its efforts on the production of a full range of modern electrical hermetically sealed transformers, integrally filled with oil. The company also works on designing and manufacturing custom-made products to meet customer needs of various key sectors.
Export Items and History:
Utec is certified for ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007, and Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) standards. The company’s distribution transformers are manufactured according to IEC 60076 on a general basis. Specifications per utility-client relationships may differ with concerns. Product types offered include ground-mounted, pole-mounted, substation, unit/package, and ground-mounted (ANSI standard). Tank construction can be hermetically sealed without gas cushion, sealed with gas cushion, conservator type with breather, cooling with corrugated fan, and cooling with radiator. Utec’s annual production capacity is 22,000 transformers with an average of 500 kVA up to 36kV (HV) & 1,100V (LV).
Since its founding in 2001, Utec has supplied regional and international markets with high-quality distribution transformers, particularly in the Arabian Gulf, as well as to other markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The company has signed contracts and agreements with leading public and private entities locally and regionally, which seek to take advantage of the high potential, extensive expertise and advanced technology applied by Utec.
