August 2, 2019 – The Boeing Company has been awarded a $25 million contract modification to continue the Phase I design maturity, analysis, and test planning for the Stand-off Land Attack Mistake – Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) for the Kingdom. The contract further calls for the redesign of obsolete parts to replace obsolete, nearly obsolete or uneconomical parts to support SLAM-ER weapon system production and improve future sustainment. Work on the project will commence in St. Louis and Indianapolis and is estimated to be completed by September 2019.
