June 05, 2018 – The Defense Department has awarded The Boeing Company a contract to build eight new CH-47F Chinook Helicopters for the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command. Valued at more than $25.7 million, the contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command will be completed by July 2021. The Chinook helicopter is an advanced multi-mission helicopter that has been in regular use since it was first operated during the Vietnam War.
