Saudi Aramco and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. have signed an agreement to build Saudi Arabia’s first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle fueling station. Utilizing the companies’ industrial experience, technological know-how, and R&D capabilities, the agreement calls for the establishment of a pilot fleet of fuel cell vehicles which utilize compressed hydrogen. The hydrogen refueling station is expected to be operational by mid-2019, upon which a pilot phase will examine the feasibility of future applications of this emerging technology.
