Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) has named Eng. Walid Abukhaled as acting CEO, having previously served as Strategy and Business Development Officer at the company. He replaces Andreas Schwer who had led the company since 2018. Eng. Abukhaled has accumulated over 30 years of experience within military and industrial sectors, including stints as CEO for the Middle East at Northrop Grumman, Deputy Minister of Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and President and CEO of General Electric in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He will oversee SAMI’s operations until further notice.
