The U.S.-Saudi Business Council (USSBC) participated at the annual AAAE Conference & Exposition, which was held in Seattle, Washington from June 5-8, 2022. The AAAE Conference & Exposition is the world’s largest professional platform representing individuals and organization in the commercial and general aviation airports space. The conference was attended by 2,200 airport and aviation executives, including executives from 300 airports.
During the conference, the USSBC supported the planning and organizing of the Business Opportunities for U.S Companies at Saudi Airports seminar, which featured Eng. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Maghlouth, CEO of Riyadh Airport Company and Mr. Saleh Adnan AlSaleh, General Manager of Privatization at Matarat as speakers.
In addition to support for generating participation at the seminar, the USSBC also facilitated meetings with the directors of the world’s largest airports, namely Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. These airports are among the world’s busiest and most profitable because they benefit from a number of advantages, such as geographical proximity to large concentrations of population and multi-industry clusters, focus on the latest innovations to enhance customer experience, provide continuous high level of training to their workforce, and sustain a culture of innovation both on the airfield and terminal side of operations.
The AAAE and Matarat signed an MOU during the Future Aviation Forum in May in Riyadh focused on training, certification, and accreditation programs.
