Saudi Arabia’s National Project Management Office, or Mashroat, is seeking U.S. project management companies.
Mashroat is charged with reducing inefficiencies and improving the quality of infrastructure projects by supporting the project management offices of government ministries and authorities.
Current and near-term projects under Mashroat’s purview total more than $40 billion. Partnering with U.S. and other foreign firms to introduce international best practices in infrastructure portfolio planning and project management is part of the Mashroat mandate.
Senior executives from Mashroat will be visiting the U.S. to meet with interested U.S. companies to introduce the Saudi market opportunity and explain how Mashroat cooperates with international firms.
There is particular opportunity for project management companies (PMCs) with experience in medical facilities, schools, office buildings, residential complexes, and road construction. Below is a partial sampling of the scale and scope of current and upcoming projects.
- 1,075 educational facility units – $3.5 billion
- 29,000 housing units – $6 billion
- 182 medical facility units – $8 billion
- 1,134 km of new roads – $9 billion
Under the Mashroat program, U.S. firms will be engaged to manage a portfolio of construction projects spanning five-year terms.
Events in both California and Virginia include a morning roundtable discussion, a networking luncheon, and an optional opportunity for a private one-on-one meeting with Mashroat following the luncheon.
