Pacific Green Technologies, Inc. and Amr Khashoggi Trading Company Limited (Amkest Group) have signed a joint venture agreement to create a Saudi-based company to facilitate the sale of Pacific Green’s environmental technologies in Saudi Arabia and the greater Middle East region. Scott Poulter, Chief Executive of Pacific Green, remarked that the company’s solar power, desalination, and battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions are a perfect fit for Amkest’s experience with the Saudi market as well as the Kingdom’s renewable energy goals under its Vision 2030 development initiative. Amr Kashoggi, Chairman of Amkest Group, echoed these remarks, adding that Pacific Green’s technologies are the perfect fit for their role in delivering solutions to the Saudi market in support of the Kingdom’s growing energy demands. Amkest Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Salman Alireza, will serve as the joint venture’s Chairman.
