Lockheed Martin Corporation’s subsidiary, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, was awarded a contract with the U.S. Army worth $3.8 billion to provide Saudi Arabia with Black Hawk helicopters. The agreement will provide for program system management, technical data, engineering, and publication services. The “Multi-Year IX” deal represents the ninth multiple-year Sikorsky and U.S. Government contract for H-60 helicopters, including the UH-60M Black Hawk and HH-60M Medevac. The agreement features an option for an additional 103 aircraft worth $1.4 billion. The helicopter deliveries are expected to commence in October 2017 and continue through 2022.
