On October 23, 2017, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) organized an business luncheon with The Honorable Israel Hernandez, Senior Advisor to the U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and Acting Under Secretary for International Trade. The program brought together more than 40 high-level executives from the U.S. and Saudi Arabia to highlight the U.S.-Saudi bilateral business relationship. Attendees represented an array of industry sectors including energy, defense, infrastructure, and mineral resources.
During the luncheon, Abdallah Jum’ah, USSABC Saudi Co-Chairman and Chairman of The Saudi Investment Bank, noted that “Under Secretary Hernandez’s visit underscores the enduring importance of the U.S.-Saudi bilateral business relationship. As the Kingdom continues to implement the ambitious economic plans of Vision 2030, the U.S. business community stands ready to partner alongside.”
The Business Council has been honored to work with Mr. Hernandez for more than 10 years, beginning with a business development mission in 2007 that brought more than 40 executives to the Kingdom.
The luncheon program was held on the sidelines of the Future Investment Forum, which brought top government and business leaders to the Kingdom, to provide a platform for objective, expert-led debate on both current and long-term global investment trends, with the ultimate aim of exploring opportunities for achieving sustainable returns that deliver positive and lasting impacts.
