In advance of the Hajj pilgrimage season, Saudi Arabian Airlines has announced that as of June 9, 2022, there will be a temporary entry ban on the entry of international tourist visa holders to four Saudi airports: Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, and Taif. The ban applies to all tourist visa holders, with the exception of Hajj permit holders. The ban will last one month, until July 9, 2022.
Foreigners with tourist visas will still be eligible to enter Saudi Arabia through any other airport, including Riyadh and Dammam. Return flights for all foreign visitors should be from their arrival airport, and not one of the four airports listed above.
