PayFort, payment solution provider acquired by Amazon in 2017, announced its #StartUpStayUp initiative to support startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the Middle East to increase their online transactions and revenue. The initiative will target startups and SMEs across various sectors, including food and beverage, fashion, entertainment, health and beauty, automotive, and online education, and will offer free digital marketing campaign worth $272,000 for three months and waive maintenance fees for its merchant partners. Saudi bank and USSBC member SABB, along with other leading banks from UAE and Egypt, joined the initiative and emphasized its goal to support Saudi startups that have been financially impacted due the COVID-19 pandemic.
